The Painted Process
Instructor: Franny Andahazy
Dates: (6 classes) Wednesday Evenings May 5th- June 2th
Description: This class is geared towards the beginning painter or for those who want to go back to some basics to strengthen skills. Instruction in acrylic painting will focus on materials, color mixing, color relationships and paint application. Value, light, and form exercises will be explored to develop skills in composition, and color harmonies. Students will work from life, and photos in a gallery setting. Oil painters are welcome.
Dates: 5 weeks, Wednesday evenings 6:30-9:30
Cost: $200

Exploration of Drawing, Color and Light
Instructor: Franny Andahazy
Description: This class will be geared to the intermediate painter who wants to experiment with an alternative palette. Students will explore and work with an expanded palette, acrylic mediums, and texture mediums. Instruction will be given in color mixing, color relationships and harmonies. You will be encouraged to work with larger brushes and/or palette knives and larger canvases, as a means of exploration. Composition exercises will be demonstrated from still life. The goal of the workshop will be to "loosen and liven" your paintings and to work from artist intuition. Oil painters are welcome.
